Properly restored 1984 Chevy Blazer sold for nearly $0.2M

The team over at Retro Designs got its hands on a 38-year-old Chevrolet K5 Blazer that used to be an army vehicle and a firefighter’s car in the past and turned it into a feature-packed restomod.

The body was resprayed in Army Green with bronze wheels for contrast. Black bumpers were installed at both ends along with towing hooks and a bull bar at the front. The brakes all around were replaced with modern rotor-based ones.

The stock power mill made room for a popular LS3 V8 crate engine rated at 435 PS (430 hp / 320 kW) in normally aspirated form. A 4L65E automatic transmission was tasked with delivering the torque to the wheels through a stock transfer case.

Eight months went into the interior works, but the result speaks for itself. Aside from a gorgeous leather-fabric trim combo, the Blazer offers a modern infotainment system with a touchscreen display and immersive ambient LED lighting. To keep the occupants safe, a roll cage has been added.

The restomod found a new owner the other day who parted with U.S. $190,000 for it.
