Opel comes up with an electric quadricycle ‘for teens’

The Opel Rocks-e runs on the same platform as the Citroen Ami, since both brands belong to Stellantis Group, and will hit the market this fall.

The quadricycle is only 2,410 mm (94 inches) long and weighs in at around 470 kg (1,036 lbs). A 5.5-kilowatt-hour battery takes three and a half hours to charge from a wall socket and gives up to 75 kilometers (46.6 miles) of WLTP-rated range. The top speed does not exceed 45 km/h (28 mph).

Laws in Europe enable this kind of low-power vehicles to be driven from the age of 15, and the added plus is that the cabin can accommodate a tall adult without problem if needed.

Prices remain to be revealed.
