The otherwise unassuming Citroen Ami city car made the headlines this weekend as it lost its balance, plowed into a curb and fell on its side on a Formula One racetrack in Monaco.
The incident took place at the infamous Monaco Grand Hotel hairpin, also known as the Fairmont or the Loews hairpin. Luckily, the people around the track were not injured thanks to the curb. The car itself was visibly damaged, and there was no report on the condition of the driver. Still, given the relatively low acceleration (if arguably still too high to make the curve), we assume they were able to walk away with minor bruises.
The track section shown in the video is the slowest corner of all in the entire Monaco circuit, forcing drivers to brake a lot before they can nail the turn.
