The old Citroen C4 dubbed ‘Cactus’ left the market in Europe more than three years ago, paving the way for the next generation. The old SUV-like hatchback stayed in production in South America, though, where it has always been a bit different from its Old World cousin. It has now been facelifted for Brazil and Argentina.
On the outside, the refreshed model sports orange accents around the fog lights and on Airbump side trims. It rides on new 16-inch wheels with an option for 17-inch ones and has updated c-pillar graphics.
Inside, the main novelty comes in the form of a 10-inch display built into the dashboard. The regional version of the Citroen C3 uses a similar display, but that one is installed in a standalone fashion. As for the multimedia hardware on board, it now supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Aside from that, the cross-hatchback features a larger pocket for miscellanea under the middle armrest, a wireless phone charger and three extra USB ports. Top trim levels bring along six airbags, a system called Grip Control that helps mitigate the lack of AWD on slippery ground, automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning.
The engines are all the same as before.
