One-off, street-legal Dallara Stradale MPS heads to auction estimated at €0.7M+

Dallara, a company best known as a racecar chassis developer, produced its first original sports car called the Stradale 11 years ago. A while later, the single-seat coupe was followed by an open-top version called the Macchina Posto Singolo (MPS). It never reached actual production, but the one-off prototype will be crossing the auction block at RM Sotheby’s in late April, evaluated at €700,000 or more.

The listing claims that the prototype can be legally driven on public roads. It features a unique exterior design that revolves around the single-seat carbon-fiber cockpit. Aero add-ons are kept down to a minimum, resulting in extremely low drag.

A modified 2.3-liter Ford engine sits under the hood, pushing around 405 PS (400 hp / 300 kW) to the wheels using a six-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. As you may remember, the Dallara coupe had an option for manual transmission, but the interior of the MPS version seen here was simply too cramped to allow for one. It also explains why some of the common in-car controls can be seen mounted at the doors instead of the front panel or center tunnel.

The auction will take place in Monaco on April 25, 2026.
