Exeed EX7 revealed with full tech and pricing details

Exeed has published the prices and specifications of its all-new crossover SUV known as the EX7 (previously referred to as “Exlantix ET7” in rumors). It is coming to the market with as many as five powertrains to choose from, brake-by-wire tech and opulent interior trim.

The SUV is five meters (16.4 feet) long and features a concave, solid panel in place of the radiator grille. It also has LED strips between the headlights and the taillights and comes with normal-looking door handles – an important safety measure that the government of China mandated after multiple unfortunate accidents with hidden handles.

In its hybrid form, the Exeed EX7 comes equipped with a 1.5-liter, naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 41-kWh battery pack. The RWD variant outputs 309 PS (305 hp / 227 kW) to the wheels and covers up to 245 km (152 miles) in all-electric mode. The AWD spec boasts superior 513 PS (506 hp / 377 kW), but doesn’t get more than 225 km (140 miles) on electricity alone. Fill the tank to the brim, and you’ll get 1,520 and 1,300 kilometers (944 and 807 miles), respectively.

The most affordable all-electric Exeed EX7 sends 313 PS (309 hp / 230 kW) to the rear axle and runs out of battery juice after 600 kilometers (373 miles). Paying for a larger pack extends the range to 726 km (451 miles). Opting for a dual-motor AWD variant gives you 480 PS (473 hp / 353 kW) along with 682 km (423 miles) of CLTC-rated range.

Features include an ADAS package based on 27 sensors, air-ride suspension with adaptive shocks, a 30-inch infotainment system screen and a 23-speaker audio system, just to name the highlights. Exeed particularly points out the “brake-by-wire” system on board that eliminates the hydraulic link between the pedal and the mechanisms. The system uses special actuators installed one per wheel to apply the brakes. The company praises this solution as “innovative”, promising faster braking and greater reliability compared to the traditional designs.
