Sterra ET (Exlantix E0Y) reveals cabin

Chery’s premium automobile sub-brand Exeed has brought a production car named Sterra ET to the ongoing Chengdu Motor Show. The same car was previewed at the Shanghai expo in spring, but only from the outside. Now that AutoHome has shared some interior shots and details with us, let’s have a closer look.

The same car will be sold in other countries under a different name: Exlantix E0Y. The abbreviation means it was designed on a new architecture called E0X, said to be optimal for RWD and AWD electric vehicles. It is a state-of-the-art technological platform that supports 800V charging and has air suspension along with four-wheel steering in the base spec.

Back to the Sterra ET, though. The car has a minimalist dashboard with standalone dash/media screens and a two-spoke steering wheel. Physical buttons are nearly non-existent, freeing up space on the console between the seats for cupholders and a phone charger pad. All seats are power-adjustable, heated and ventilated.

It remains to be seen what kind of powertrain parameters the Sterra ET will offer. The only thing revealed thus far is that it can accommodate battery packs rated at 60, 82, and 100 kilowatt-hours. The smallest one gives you 500 km (310 miles) per charge and the biggest one gives 700 km (435 miles).
