Tuner builds a Testarossa that Ferrari never produced

This one-off Ferrari Testarossa originates from Niels van Roij Design in the Netherlands and belongs to a Maranello brand fan who had dreamed about a vehicle like this for a long time.

Ferrari never produced a Targa body version of the Testarossa, claiming that modifying the original Berlinetta body would be too challenging. Apparently, this did not stop Niels van Roij and his team.

The result is called “Guida Touring Sport” to avoid potential litigation with the Italian marque and features a removable roof. You can detach the panels when not needed and stash them away in the frunk. Reattaching them is as simple as throwing a few levers.

The tuner admits that the top of the original Testarossa was a load-bearing structural element. In order to keep the body rigid and safe after cutting, numerous braces and reinforcements had to be installed. These can be found at the side sills, in the doorframes, inside the transmission tunnel and even under the dashboard. Despite the sheer number of parts added, Niels van Roij Design managed to keep the changes discreet and the original exterior design largely intact.

Since the customer also requested a full interior overhaul, the whole project took around 3,000 hours to carry out.
