Hennessey Performance continues expanding its lineup of supercharged cars with the release of this Ford F-150 Raptor R. Aside from the usual ‘VelociRaptor’ moniker, the truck comes with an engine boosted to 1,013 PS (1,000 hp / 746 kW) and 1,152 Nm (850 lb-ft) of torque.
To put things into context, the stock pickup packs a 5.2-liter V8 dialed up to 710 PS (700 hp / 522 kW), making it the world’s second most powerful production truck in its class. The upgrade introduces a larger supercharger, a high-performance fuel system, a different ECU and other mods.
On the outside, the pickup wears Hennessey wheels shod in 37-inch tires and sports reinforced bumpers along with auxiliary lighting all around.
The production is scheduled to begin next year after a series of tests.
