Hongqi has revealed the pricing of its updated HS5 lineup in China: depending on your chosen trim level, the marque’s best-selling SUV will set you back 183,800–249,800 CNY.
Per AutoHome, the model received a facelift and a drivetrain upgrade, gaining more power and switching from dual-clutch to A/T.
On the outside, the HS5 now looks in line with the brand’s flagships with its cascading radiator grille and two-tier headlights sporting slim LED bars next to the hood rim. The dashboard retains its two large displays, but gets a new HVAC control panel. The transmission tunnel also looks different.
The engine is the old 2.0-liter turbo boosted by an additional 27 horsepower and 40 Newton-meters of torque. This means it produces 252 PS (249 hp / 185 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque in the new version. The old six-speed dual-clutch transmission also makes way for an eight-speed automatic.
