Lamborghini Diablo reborn again as a carbon-clad restomod

Eccentrica Cars has come to this year’s Monterey Car Week with the V12 Pacchetto Titano, a particularly hardcore and track-focused revival of the Lamborghini Diablo. It continues in the same vein as the Eccentrica V12 preceding it (see video), but has a new cabin, an all-carbon body and a racing-spec chassis for maximum performance.

A tweaked ECU enables the Pacchetto Titano to deliver unprecedented throttle response for the fastest acceleration possible. The company has yet to reveal its power and torque, but the original restomod had a 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V12 dialed up to 550 PS (542 hp / 405 kW). It was largely accomplished via new distribution shafts, valves and exhaust system components. The original maxed out at 492 PS (485 hp / 362 kW).

On top of that, Eccentrica has stiffened up the suspension springs and recalibrated the shocks for better handing without sacrificing any comfort – at least, that’s what it claims.

On the outside, the modern Diablo is awash with raw, unpainted carbon fiber. It wears a new front splitter, side sill extensions, a modest-sized rear wing, a diffuser and custom lights all around. The front axle makes do with 19-inch wheels, while the rear end gets 20-inch ones.

Inside, the dashboard is new and houses digital instruments alongside a modern and ergonomic center console. The steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara, and the manual gear shifter has a large aluminum knob.

Back when it unveiled the standard Eccentrica V12 a couple of years ago, the company said only 19 units would be made on the Diablo chassis. Prices began from €1.2 million before donor vehicle costs and other added expenses. It’s unclear how many examples of the Pacchetto Titano are planned for production or how big the premium is.
