Lynk & Co has submitted the first detailed photos and technical specifications of its mid-size hybrid saloon known as the 07 EM-P to the database of China’s Ministry of Industry and IT. Car News China believes it may reach production later this month and debut before the end of March.
Lynk & Co, a joint venture co-founded between Geely and Volvo, announced the 07 model in November last year. It has since posted photos from pre-production tests, taking care not to reveal any exterior design details. This is the first time we can have a close look at the exterior with its smooth outlines, brand’s signature vertical DRLs, large front bumper intake and flush door handles. The gently sloping roof is finished in black and there is a compact-sized spoiler at the rear end. The interior remains to be revealed.
The car is stated to be 4,827 x 1,900 x 1,480 millimeters (188.6 x 74.2 x 57.8 inches) large with 2,843 mm (111 inches) of wheelbase. This indicates that it may be based on the same CMA architecture as the Lynk & Co 08 (see video).
The letters EM-P refer to the automaker’s plug-in hybrid system. Judging by the specs, the sedan uses a 1.5-liter petrol engine with 163 PS (161 hp / 120 kW) to produce power for its electric motor(s). Just how many there are and how powerful they are remains undisclosed. On the upside, we do know that the hybrid is coming to us with an 18.99-kWh lithium-ferro-phosphate battery by CALB rated at 102 km (64 miles) of range per charge.
