The German tuning company continues developing extravagant naked-carbon styling packages for the Maserati MC20. The latest one is called MCX Pergusa and is coming in a batch of five examples worldwide.
On the whole, the offering is similar to the tuner’s Widebody kit for the same model, with some notable exceptions like a hood scoop and revised aerodynamic trims all around. The front end looks particularly bloated with its giant air intakes and numerous added vents. The sides keep up with it thanks to low-slung carbon-fiber skirts and centerlock wheels. The front ones are 21 and the rear ones are 22 inches large.
Clients alone dictate how they want the interior trim, but the show car seen here features a cabin wrapped in orange leather with black details, more naked-carbon accents and gold highlights on the console. Mansory logos on the belts and the headrests round off the chic look.
And then there is the engine, Maserati’s latest 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 that normally delivers 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) to the wheels. Once tuned with software tweaks and a high-end in-house exhaust system from Mansory, it starts delivering up to 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW) to the wheels. The torque also goes up to 880 Nm (649 lb-ft). As a result, the Italian sports car sprints from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.6 seconds – one-third of a second faster than stock.
