Posaidon gets around to tuning the Mercedes-AMG S63, gives it 940 PS

German performance tuner Posaidon has rolled another boosted Mercedes out of its garage, this time around a W222 Mercedes-AMG S63. AS per the tradition, you can choose from several different packages.

In case you forgot, the previous-gen executive sedan has 620 PS (611 hp / 458 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque in its factory guise. Stage 1 endows the stock 4.0-liter V8 TT with higher-spec ball-bearing turbos, a sports air filter, catalytic converters, and control software tweaks for both the engine and the transmission. When all is said and done, the car gets 830 PS (819 hp / 610 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque.

Those who believe it to be inadequate may go for a Stage 2 kit and get 880 PS (868 hp / 647 kW) along with 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque. Upgraded like this, the sedan darts from zero to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.2 seconds and can reach 350 km/h (217 mph) in a straight line, Posaidon claims.

Finally, the most demanding of drivers will know to appreciate an upgrade to 940 PS (927 hp / 691 kW) and 1,280 Nm (944 lb-ft) of torque. Good luck finding somewhere to try it out!

Those of us who are more financially restricted may ask the tuner for an ECU remap, which still nets you 707 PS (697 hp / 520 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft). An air suspension lowering module should also be available, judging by the photos.
