The Marco Polo is a recreation vehicle based on the platform and tech of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class. The latest update brings extra comfort and utility while moving all assembly to Germany, which the company says will be good for build quality and delivery times.
The exterior of the new RV/camper stays largely untouched, with only a roof tent to hint at its true nature. The tent conceals a large 205x113cm (88.1”x44.1”) bed underneath. The sleeping area is noise- and heat-insulated and features customizable ambient lighting.
Like its previous variants, the new Marco Polo has an awning for outdoor breakfasts, and Mercedes claims it now folds and unfolds faster than ever before. Same goes for the rear seat row, which you can now quickly fold down to create a second bed.
The interior features a couple of 12.3-inch displays, a compact-sized kitchen, folding tables, storage cabinets and a WC. The front seats can swivel 180 degrees, and some windows come with magnetic drapes for privacy. There’s an eight-speaker audio system on board that has a subwoofer and can be controlled from a smartphone without the need to power up the infotainment.
Last but not least, those looking to save on their purchase may opt for a special version called Horizon. It’s basically the same van, just without certain amenities like the kitchen and the WC. It’s depicted in white in the gallery above, while the main model is blue.
Power for the 2027 Marco Polo comes from the V-Class standard 2.0-liter turbo diesel rated at 237 PS (234 hp / 174 kW). A nine-speed automatic transmission carries the momentum to either just the rear wheels or all four – you choose.
The first deliveries are planned for the second half of 2026. All prices are pending.
