This Mini Clubman pickup is quite amazing for a homegrown car

Mini had toyed with the idea of producing compact trucks before, but has long since abandoned it. Thankfully, we have talented tinkerers willing to take matters in their own hands.

The video documents the whole process of building this cute, vividly painted Clubman pickup truck. Its creator claims in an Instagram post that chopping off the roof was the simplest part. Reinforcing the body for the transportation of heavy cargo was another story. He ended up borrowing a rear window from a Volkswagen and welding his own truck bed out of stainless-steel sheets. He also never asked anyone for help.

Other noteworthy modifications include raised suspension, meaty off-road tires, a roof rack, an off-road radiator grille, and even a snorkel. The result looks so professionally executed, you might as well mistake it for a stock car.
