Porsche restoration guru launches a watch for the price of a car

Rob Dickinson, founder and owner of Singer Vehicle Designs, incidentally also runs a watchmaking business called Singer Reimagined in Switzerland. It has just released a new timepiece called Caballero Titanium, priced at a cool 18,500 Swiss Francs (23,300 USD).

The luxury accessory features a 39mm (1.5-inch) titanium casing with a rim polished to a high sheen. The backplate appears to be see-through, opening a view on the winding mechanism. Once fully wound, it runs for around six days.

The watch face comes encrusted with four large rubies and features three laconic hands without any hour or minute markings. The images depict the chronometer in brown and greyish blue, but customers can choose a tint they like instead. The strap is made of fine leather lined with textile along the exterior side.

The first deliveries are planned for May this year. The quantity is apparently “strictly limited”, but the exact number is undisclosed.
