U.S.-based Porsche restorer Gunther Werks has shipped the last car from its 911-based “Speedster” lineup, decorating it in same colors of the Iron Man suit. Aside from all the MCU nods and parallels, the restomod ended up with 24-carat fine gold accents inside and out.
For starters, the company encased the chassis in complete carbon-fiber bodywork and aero kit. As a result, the curb weight landed at a low 1,180 kilos (2,600 lbs). The interior received a posh makeover in red natural leather and more carbon with gilded details. The gear lever in particular was encrusted with Infinity Stones, reinforcing the theme.
As one would expect from a GW restomod, this one’s powertrain is far from stock. Built to order by Rothsport Racing, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six sends 852 PS (840 hp / 627 kW) to the rear end while exerting 895 Nm (660 lb-ft) of torque. Compared to all other GW Speedsters, the Project Endgame is also the only one to make use of air-based cooling instead of water-based.
All pricing details are private, but we wouldn’t expect a car like this to land anywhere below seven-digit USD territory.
