Marc Philipp Gemballa to make Porsche 959 out of the 911

The tuner team over at Marc Phillipp Gemballa GmbH is conceptualizing a conversion kit that would stylize the modern Porsche 911 to look just like the legendary 959.

The only pic available so far shows the rear end of the vehicle, complete with a wide body kit, a spoiler, and a LED strip acting as a brake light.

No other data is available this early on. Marc Gemballa promises to tell us more towards the end of the year, but interested buyers will get a sneak peek much earlier during a dedicated event in Switzerland. Only 40 such 959 replicas will emerge, boasting all-carbon bodywork and custom interior design.

The classical 959 was designed by Alan Derosier of Studiokurbos, who had previously worked for Chery and Renault and also created the Porsche 908/04 Concept. The latter proved so popular it even warranted a documentary dedicated to it exclusively.
