Renault has officially announced the launch of the third-generation Duster CUV in Turkey in the second quarter of 2024. The car will go into production in the city of Bursa. In the meantime, here’s a first photo of its cabin.
Compared to its Dacia counterpart (see video), the new Renault Duster looks entirely the same except for the badging. It sports a new brand lettering on the radiator grille instead of stylized letters D and C, but that’s about it.
Inside, there is a 10.1-inch infotainment display slightly tilted towards the driver, a 7-inch digital dashboard and a small transmission selector.
In Turkey, the crossover will ship with a 140-PS (138-hp / 103-kW) hybrid powertrain under the hood. It combines a 94-PS (93-hp / 69-kW) petrol engine with a 49-PS (48-hp / 36-kW) electric motor, a starter-generator and a 1.2-kWh battery pack. The resulting system is considered mild-hybrid, meaning you won’t be able to charge it from external sources. On the upside, it promises superior fuel economy compared to the base version.
Speaking of which, the base Dacia Duster also ships with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine rated at 100 PS (99 hp / 74 kW). It is bi-fuel by design, accepting up to 50 liters of petrol and the same volume of condensed natural gas. Once fueled to the max, it has roughly 1,300 km (800 miles) of driving range.
Last but not least, the new Dacia Duster has a 1.2-liter turbo hybrid option rated at 130 PS (128 hp / 96 kW). Renault hasn’t yet confirmed whether these powertrain options will be available for its own Duster version.
