Australia hires the Dodge Charger to charge after outlaws

The police in Australia will be using two new car models in its fleet soon. Both come based on the Dodge Charger Pursuit (see video), and the main difference lies in the drive configuration (RWD and AWD).

Both come powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar engine burning gasoline for 303 PS (299 hp / 223 kW). To facilitate chases in the challenging modern-world conditions, the engineering team responsible for the build introduces a wide array of suspension, stability and braking improvements.

On the outside, the Charger Pursuit has a police car livery, multiple light bars, and loudspeakers. It rides on custom wheels, has robust glass all around, and benefits from protected doors.
