Dodge Charger enlists with the police

Stellantis has announced a version of the new Dodge Charger designed for law enforcement purposes.

The production car debuted this spring (see video). It comes in two flavors – coupe and sedan – and can be optioned with an electric powertrain if gas isn’t your thing. Dodge hasn’t specified whether the police car fleet will be electric or not. It also hasn’t revealed much about its equipment yet.

All we know is that the all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona coupe will be the first to ship at the end of the current year, priced from $60,000. The sedan version and the gas-powered cars won't arrive until 2025, so it’s understandable that the details are scarce.
