Jeep Wagoneer L enlists with the U.S. police

Jeep has rolled out a special edition of its Wagoneer L SUV envisioned as a patrol and detention vehicle for the police.

The body-on-frame off-roader was upgraded with blinking lights in the radiator grille and the windshield, a siren and a loudspeaker. A weapon case was added to the trunk as well. As an L version, the SUV is 5,758 millimeters (225 inches) long, so chances are you won’t see it chasing criminals on highways.

While not the fastest or most maneuverable vehicle around, Jeep reckons that the new Wagoneer L will do just fine transporting criminals and confiscated firearms.
