Carbon-fiber aerodynamic kits for vans may be an outlandish concept for many of us, but there is no denying the popularity of the phenomenon. Even such renowned tuners as Prior Design are in the game now.
The PD-VIP1 Aero-Kit targets the Mercedes Sprinter van, and it has to be said, the German company did its best to turn it into a Mercedes-AMG lookalike. Highlights at the front end include the giant front apron with air intakes, the LED DRLs and the new radiator grille, which you can get with the usual Mercedes star or the Prior Design logo.
The hood and the fenders now have openings for air circulation, and the wheels are forged – in other words, everything about the PD Sprinter screams, ‘I am a purebred sports car’! The low side sills, rear diffuser and roof wing round off the list.
For an extra few grand, Prior Design will replace the tailpipes or even the entire exhaust system, lending it a more impressive soundtrack.
