4, 5, 6, or 8 cylinders: How many is enough in a sports car?

CarWOW has once again come up with a rather unusual drag strip comparison, pitting together a Lamborghini Urus, an Audi TT RS, a Porsche Cayman GT4, and a VW Golf R.

The Golf R has the smallest engine in the quartet and costs the least, too. Its four-banger drives all wheels with 320 PS (316 hp / 235 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque.

The Audi TT RS utilizes a five-pot rated at 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque. It also has AWD.

Next up is the Porsche Cayman GT4, which packs a four-liter flat-six engine capable of sending 420 PS (415 hp / 309 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels. rounding off the list is the Urus with its 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque.

Watch the video and see how close these cars are despite their different cylinder count.
