Volkswagen has decided it was time to refresh its coupe-like Teramont X SUV for China. Here is what the update brings.
Changes on the outside start with illuminated badges, new headlights and taillights, and a redesigned front grille. The tailgate now sports a glossy insert, and that’s as far as the base spec goes.
Opting for the R-Line spec unlocks an aggressive-looking body kit and original black wheels, as well as removes most of the chrome from the body. The interior remains yet to be revealed.
Like the pre-facelift Teramont X, its new version uses a 2.0-liter engine rated at 186 PS (183 hp / 137 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft). You can pay a premium to get a more up-to-date variant of this engine capable of 220 PS (217 hp / 162 kW) and 350 Nm (257 lb-ft). Alternatively, there is a six-cylinder engine rated at 299 PS (295 hp / 220 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft).
