Voyah Taishan presents interior

Chinese premium automaker Voyah has shared cabin photos of its upcoming full-size SUV, the Taishan. It’s an opulent passenger space with many modern comforts on board.

In the company’s usual fashion, the dashboard has just a few physical buttons on it, while most in-car functions are relegated to the touchscreens. The head unit display is particularly large, the trim all around is of premium quality, and the trim option list is impressively long.

By design, the Voyah Taishan is a six-seater with three rows and two seats per row. The middle row occupants take advantage of extremely well-padded and particularly comfortable “captain’s seats” complete with power adjustments and automatic footrests.

Equipment on board includes a heads-up display, a fridge, a large panoramic roof, a dedicated TV for the back row and two wireless charging pads. The driver gets the latest autonomous driving suite from Huawei, which comes with as many as four LiDARs for precision, and a host of assist features like remote parking.

In earlier news, we learned that the Taishan would go on sale with air-ride suspension and four-wheel steering included as standard. The SUV itself is 5.2 meters (over 17 feet) long and relies on a plug-in hybrid powertrain for propulsion. A petrol engine and dual e-motors drive the wheels, while a 65-kWh battery provides enough power for 300 km (186 miles) in all-electric mode, WLTP-rated. With the gas tank filled to the max, the luxury vehicle can go as far as 1,120 km (695 miles) before refueling becomes necessary.
