Winnebago, a popular US-based camper and motorhome manufacturer, has been forced to recall 6,536 motorhomes following a large-scale investigation that confirmed a dangerous fuel hose defect.
The recall campaign encompasses Travato, Solis and Ekko models released since May 2020 until March 2023. There are several risks associated with the faulty fuel pipeline, the biggest one being flammable gasoline leak.
All owners of the affected cars are invited to visit a dealership for a replacement of the hose and its fastening braces. The service is already available nationwide. In the meantime, Winnebago has put new motorhome sales on hold until it makes sure there are no more affected examples on sale.
