Silent Alfa Romeo electromod needs less than 3 seconds to hit 100 km/h

Totem Automobili, an Italian restorer specializing in Alfa Romeo cars, has delivered a very special vehicle to a well-off collector in California. Called the GT Electric Zeal 01, it looks better than new and runs on electric power without sacrificing any acceleration or range.

An electric motor drives the rear axle with 598 PS (590 hp  / 440 kW), taking the coupe from zero to highway speed in 2.9 seconds. Once fully charged, it can do up to 483 kilometers (300 miles), the company claims. Electronically managed suspension and Brembo performance brakes make it feel like a modern car on the road.

On the outside, this particular Alfa wears an Azzurro Pervinca paintwork with matte gold accents and bronze wheels for contrast. It benefits from LED lights all around and rides slightly lower than stock.

The interior space comes wrapped in fine Nappa leather and houndstooth fabric. Sabelt carbon-backed seats help with the weight reduction, and the headliner is also lined up with leather.

All pricing is private. Aside from electromods like this one, Totem Automobili makes gas-powered restomods based on a custom 2.8-liter twin-turbo V6. That option is no slouch, either, topping out at 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW).
