The Alfa Romeo Milano is yet another SUV from the Italian automaker

Alfa Romeo has decided on the name of its next production vehicle: Milano, a compact all-electric urban CUV, gets its moniker from the city where the company began its operation in 1910.

The vehicle is being positioned as a B-Class, with Alfa Romeo arguing that it is Europe’s most popular class right now. According to CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato, it has been designed to bring back those of the company’s fans and supporters who had appreciated its compact vehicles the most, like the Giulietta or the Mito.

Nothing has been revealed in terms of tech. Since Alfa Romeo is a part of Stellantis these days, it will likely run on the same chassis as the Jeep Avenger EV. If true, that would mean 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW) of power coming from a single e-motor and 400 km (248 miles) of range per charge. The Avenger also has a hybrid version going, so the Milano might get a similar drivetrain, too.

The official launch month is April 2024. Knowing Alfa Romeo, it will likely redesign the Avenger in its own style and overhaul its handling to suit the fans’ expectations.
