Bentley has come a racing event in Austria with a special build of its Bentayga crossover. Modified for tackling moderate off-road conditions, the ride exists in singular count, but might eventually go into production if there’s enough customer interest.
The chassis is provided by a regular Bentayga Speed. It gets a 120mm (4.7-inch) increase in track width, a 55mm (2.1-inch) bump in ground clearance, fender flares and 22-inch forged wheels shod in off-road tires. While at it, the Bentley crew put an expedition rack on the roof complete with four floodlights and a kart.
Nothing has changed in the powertrain department, which means the standard 4.0-liter turbo V8 continues to drive all four wheels with 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Added active anti-roll bars and air-cushioned springs ensure better handling and performance on mild terrain, Bentley claims.
