Head-turning BMW M4 ute can be yours for $145k

A rather well-known pickup truck built with the G82 BMW M4 as a starting point is up for grabs in the United States right now for an asking price of $145,000. Originally starred at the SEMA-2022, it currently has around 12,000 km (7,500 miles) under its belt.

The car is known as the DinMann M4 Maloo, a nod to the Australian ute (light passenger truck) Holden Maloo. Aside from a surprisingly spacious cargo bed, it features a custom body kit with a front splitter, ventilated wheel arches and other nice details. The arches themselves house matte-black HRE wheels, and the interior makes do with just two seats.

In turn, the twin-turbo V8 under the hood benefits from a Wagner Tuning intake, a GTHaus exhaust and upgrade turbos. It now uses E85 fuel and has all the corresponding fuel system upgrades for it, as well as a properly tweaked ECU. It’s a shame that the listing doesn’t reveal any specific output figures, but it should be plenty fast.

DinMann stresses that there is no other such truck in existence – the M4 Maloo is a one-off project, rather than a mass-produced kit. Considering that you can find a BMW M4 Competition in the U.S. for as little as $86,400, though, you have to be a fan of the build to justify the premium.
