The Boldmen CR4 roadster based on the BMW Z4 chassis can now be pre-ordered in a new performance specification called S. Here is what it offers.
Most importantly, the output of the three-liter twin-turbo engine under the hood rose from 408 PS (402 hp / 300 kW) to 500 PS (492 hp / 368 kW). The peak torque simultaneously rose from 610 to 700 Nm (from 450 to 516 pound-feet, respectively).
Tuned like this, the car needs 3.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) instead of the standard 3.9. The standard Boldmen CR4 (see video) starts from €185,000, with the new version commanding a €24,500 premium over it.
Throwing in another €11,500 gets you a so-called S Package, which includes performance brakes, extra carbon-fiber aero kit parts, a different exhaust system and a top speed limiter reconfigured from 250 to 270 km/h (from 155 to 168 miles per hour).
Boldmen says it has only put together one CR4 S so far, but orders are already being processed.
