An unusual BMW iX3 has been sighted in Sweden recently, looking like a possible M version.
Although the whole car was buried under camo, it still had visibly larger BMW M wheels installed with larger blue brake calipers seen behind the spokes. The photographer snapped a couple of shots of the cabin as well, revealing a new steering wheel with taped-over extra buttons and superior ergonomic seats.
According to Carscoops, which published these images, the SUV may have only begun its wintertime testing phase – hence no body kit. Later on, it may reappear on the streets looking more like a proper M vehicle.
As far as the powertrain is concerned, rumors claim the BMW iX3 M will get four electric motors installed one per wheel for 700-800 horsepower total (around 515-588 kilowatts). That would help it stand well apart from the standard version with its 469 PS (463 hp / 345 kW). The latest ADAS technologies are expected as well, and BMW will likely throw in a fake gearbox for the more conservatively-minded drivers.
