BYD announces a microcar, could be for Japan №1

The Chinese automaker has teased a camouflaged EV whose proportions and size suggest that it’s a Kei car.

Back in April, Nikkei Asia wrote that BYD was planning to enter the Japanese market with a car like this. If it does, it will be the world’s first foreign automaker to produce a Kei car for that country.

There are no further details, including the premiere date.
