Even after launching the newer Tiggo 5X Plus model, Chery continued producing and selling its older 5X SUV. Both are now being sold side-by-side, and the older one has just received a mid-generational refresh.

For the engine, your choices are still limited to a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated mill and its turbo counterpart. The former makes 120 PS (118 hp / 88 kW) and the latter 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW).
