Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan gets updated in China

Aeolus – a division of Dongfeng – has started the sales of the 2024 Yixuan sedan and estate from the equivalent of U.S. $9,000.

The mid-generational refresh prioritized sporty character. Compared to their predecessors, the new Yixuan duo looks decidedly more aggressive with nearly every exterior detail redesigned. The wagon also boasts a splitter at the front, and the saloon has a rear wing.

Inside, even the cheapest trim looks lively and colorful and has plenty of fake carbon accents. The infotainment system screen is tablet-shaped and 13 inches large, essentially replacing the entire center console. The drive mode selector is no longer knob-shaped and stays fixed in whatever position you move it. The seats are new and the panoramic roof has a sliding hatch.

For the engine, customers in China may choose between a naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine rated at 125 PS (123 hp / 92 kW) and 158 Nm (117 lb-ft) of torque and its turbocharged counterpart with 197 PS (194 hp / 145 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft).
