Novitec puts a few masterstrokes on the Ferrari Daytona SP3

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 saw the daylight in 2021 in a production batch limited to 599 units, each priced north of €2,000,000. Despite the extreme rarity value of these cars, one of the owners surrendered their example to Novitec for tuning.

After carefully examining what was possible and what unadvisable at best, the German tuning company decided not to treat the SP3 to its signature N-Largo body kit. It also abstained from messing with Ferrari’s most powerful naturally aspirated V12 in mass production. Instead, they chose to limit their involvement to the wheels and the exhaust system.

Stock wheels vacated their wells in favor of Vossen-made centerlock rims installed in a staggered fashion: 20” at the front and 21” at the back. As for the exhaust, it was upgraded with a custom muffler setup and an active valve. Novitec describes the sound as “decidedly subtle” at the quietest setting, but it sure becomes track-worthy at the loudest – watch the video to get a better idea.

Customers wishing the best for their Ferrari will want to opt for 999-grade find gold plating on their exhaust for maximum heat dissipation. Novitec also claims that, while the engine block stays stock, improving the exhaust flow alone is enough to bump its output from the standard 840 to around 868 PS (from 829 to 856 hp; from 618 to 638 kW, respectively).
