Mansory dares to tinker with the particularly rare Ferrari Monza

Mansory, a tuning shop widely known for its bold and expensive projects, has presented its own vision of the elusive Ferrari Monza SP2. Aside from messing with the exterior of the supercar, the Germans have also upgraded its engine spec slightly.

The demo car shown here boasts a Rosso Corsa paintjob with black accents and details in naked carbon. There is a black hump behind the driver’s seat, for example, and the cabin is red and black to match the body. The arches are occupied by aftermarket wheels sized 21” front and 22” rear.

Like the Ferrari 812 Superfast it is based upon, the Monza SP2 packs a 6.5-liter V12 engine normally rated at 810 PS (800 hp / 596 kW) and 719 Nm (530 lb-ft) of torque. Mansory offers an optional upgrade to 830 PS (819 hp / 610 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) courtesy of new intake and exhaust systems.

There is no mention how much faster the supercar becomes with these upgrades, if at all. In its stock form, it needs 2.9 seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) and reaches 300 km/h (186 mph).

Three years ago, the Ferrari Monza opened a new exclusive vehicle lineup named Icona, which the Italian automaker dedicated to its most recognizable models in history (see video).
