At the beginning of the year, Hennessey Performance revealed a 400-horsepower custom take on the Ford Bronco (see video). Now, the same company is offering an even more powerful and expensive variant of that tuning.
The 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-pot on board has been massaged to 507 PS (500 hp / 373 kW), a massive improvement over the stock 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW). The torque went up from 563 Nm (420 lb-ft) to 746 Nm (550 lb-ft). Note that the VelociRaptor 400 that debuted several months ago had an even higher peak torque of 813 Nm (600 lb-ft). This means that those in the market for a Hennessey-tuned Bronco will have to decide what matters more to them – highway power or off-road performance.
Other than that, the SUV is basically the same as the 400. The full package will set you back $33,000, plus at least $73,000 for the donor Bronco. For your money, you get an improved air intake system, a better intercooler, 18-inch wheels wrapped in 37-inch all-terrain rubber and other Hennessey goodies.
