This eye-catching 1994 Ford Bronco off-roader found a new owner at a Mecum auction earlier this week. The tuner – who inexplicably went uncredited in the listing – had it rebuilt anew in a very special aesthetic combining retro and modern design traits.
Based on the photos, the SUV ended up with a mate-black aftermarket front bumper, a matching radiator grille, a black roof and new off-road wheels shod in mud tires. The rest of the body boasts a fresh white paint coat. L-shaped modern DRLs and mildly tinted headlamps lend the old Bronco a pinch of contemporary charm.
The listing claims that the eight-cylinder engine under the hood is new, but doesn’t reveal its type, displacement volume or power. Interior highlights include a new steering wheel and a modern head unit. The upholstery all around seems to involve lots of light beige leather and synthetic suede.
It’s unclear how much the buyer paid for this tastefully restored Bronco, leaving it looking a bit like a dark horse.
