Ford had offered its iconic Mustang in a special body style called Fox from 1979 until 1993. It was particularly popular among aftermarket companies and often ended up tuned beyond recognition. Late Model Restoration has gotten its hands on just such a car and decided to see whether it was any good despite the age.
This particular ‘Stang uses a modified V8 engine with its displacement increased to 6.44 liters. The camshafts and the cylinder heads are new, and the transmission is five-speed manual.
When tested at the dyno, the best result was 386.1 horsepower at the wheels.
