Haval H6 GT is a high-end hybrid SUV made in China for Brazil

Great Wall has unveiled a new modification of its Haval H6S coupe-SUV for the Brazilian market. According to the local Motor1 website, the model is called ‘H6 GT’ and can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds thanks to a three-motor powertrain. There is no such flagship spec no sale in China.

The H6 GT for Brazil combines a 1.5-liter engine with two electric motors for 393 PS (388 hp / 289 kW) and 762 Nm (562 lb-ft) of torque. Customers in China make do with only one electric motor in a similar setup, which gives them 243 PS (240 hp / 179 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft) of torque.

The motors can work in parallel or serial mode. By default, the petrol engine is used solely to generate more power for the motors, but you can set it up to assist the motors for faster acceleration. A 34-kWh battery yields up to 170 km (105 miles) of all-electric range, but with the tank and the battery maxed out, you can cover at least 1,000 km (621 miles).

Aside from these differences, the H6 GT also has custom suspension settings optimized for Brazilian roads. It comes equipped with 19-inch wheels, sport seats, a two-zone HVAC, a 12.3-inch multimedia screen, surround view cameras and a suite of electronic assists.

Reservations are already being processed. with Haval promising to start deliveries in April. According to Motor1, the H6 GT will become Great Wall’s first production car in Brazil, even though the company had announced the standard H6 model in that country earlier (this non-GT hybrid has yet to arrive).

It also seems possible that the H6 GT may make it to some other markets later on.
