Honda reshuffles the Integra giving it a removable roof panel

The Japanese automaker continues exploring its market opportunities in China. Working with the local Integra hatchback (see video), Honda designers turned it into a cool-looking Targa vehicle with only two doors remaining.

The a- and c-pillars were left unchanged, while the b-pillar was moved to the back. Some custom body panels were shaped for the show car, white forged wheels made their way into the wells, and a custom rear bumper had to be molded as well. Inside, the rear bench made room for two individual seats installed quite close to the front row.

No powertrain details were mentioned, so it’s safe to assume that the Integra continued to pump out its China-standard 182 PS (180 hp / 134 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque. What bothers us about this build is how the tailgate looks like a fixed panel, possibly blocking all trunk access. Then again, it’s just a concept car at this time, and Honda refuses to say whether it may ever reach production.
