Land Rover Defender D90 Vanguard debuts at the Geneva show

The 2019 Geneva Motor Show has managed to attract countless car manufacturers and aftermarket firms, Kahn Design and its subsidiary Chelsea Truck Company among them. The tuner brought along this Land Rover Defender D90 Vanguard, which strives to combine British elegance with no-nonsense military design – and, as far as we are concerned, succeeds.

The custom SUV sports an additional 8 inches (203 mm) of ride height and a set of bold fender flares mounted on exposed bolts. These tweaks alone make it almost 2,200 mm (7.2 ft.) tall and 2,090 mm (6.9 ft.) wide.

The car rides on a set of 18-inch Mondial alloy wheels wrapped in Cooper Discoverer 275/50 R18 off-road tires.

As far as we know, the Land Rover Defender D90 Vanguard has a tuned engine, but Kahn Design reveals no further details.

Other features include a sports exhaust system with twin tailpipes, powerful LED headlights with a crosshair-shaped light pattern, redesigned front and rear aprons, the trademark X-Lander grille, new running boards and a spare wheel housing.

The interior of the vehicle takes advantage of premium-grade leather and houses a Kahn Billet steering wheel, a Churchill clock and perforated aluminum pedals, among a plethora of other minor improvements.
