Bowler Motors upgrades the next-gen Defender for a championship

The company has outfitted the new off-roader with everything necessary to participate in the Bowler Defender Challenge – here are the specifics.

The donor vehicle is a short-wheelbase Defender powered by a turbocharged petrol four-cylinder rated at 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW). It features redesigned subframes and suspension, a 25mm (1”) bump in ground clearance, under shields, robust 18-inch wheels shod in all-terrain rubber, a roof spoiler, a safety cage, and bucket seats inside.

Elsewhere, the hardcore Defender sports new front bumper and radiator grille, a Bowler Sports exhaust system, a different dashboard, a quick-release steering wheel, and polycarbonate windows.

The official premiere will take place on August 6, 2021.
