The CarWOW team got their hands on a Lister Stealth, one of UK’s most badass SUVs, and wanted to see how it compared against a BMW X6 M Competition (F96). Both pack eight-speed A/T and AWD, but similarities end there.
The Stealth is essentially Lister’s take on the Jaguar F-Pace SVR. It sports a revised cabin trim, a carbon fiber aero kit, performance brakes and a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 dialed up to 675 PS (666 hp / 496 kW) and 881 Nm (650 lb-ft). The car weighs around 2,050 kilos (4,520 lbs) and is even more agile than the stock F-Pace capable of 550 PS (542 hp / 404 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). The extra performance comes at a major price bump, however: from £77,600 all the way up to £120,000.
The X6 M Competition rocks a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 good for 625 PS (616 hp / 460 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. It weighs in at 320 kg (705 lbs) above its rival, but costs about the same at £113,000 before options.
Watch the video or read on for spoilers. The truth is, the duo proved equally capable on the drag strip, necessitating a photo finish to determine the winner. The same applied to the brake test, which culminated in a tie.
