Suzuki S-Presso teasers, launch date revealed

Maruti Suzuki – the Indian HQ of the Japanese brand – has posted the first sketch and teaser vid of its upcoming S-Presso. The subcompact SUV will debut on September 30.

The company prefers to call it a ‘mini SUV’, although the car is essentially a crossover hatchback. It comes based on the Future S Concept that debuted in early 2018 (see the gallery and the video).

Judging by the video, the car has roughly the same outlines as its conceptual version – but this is where the similarities end. Everything from the headlights to the brake lights has been redesigned. Heartect is most likely used for the chassis, and the equipment list probably includes digital instruments, a touch-enabled multimedia display, a parking assist, ABS + EBD, and a couple airbags.

The Suzuki S-Presso will come front-driven by a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated engine mated to either a five-speed manual or a robotic transmission. The precise specs are not available thus far.
