Belgium-based classical car restoration shop GDM Motors mostly works with Porsche models, but doesn’t shun from other marques, either. This painstakingly crafted Mercedes-Benz SLC 450 rally car replica is also their job, and it is currently on sale.
The car boasts rally lighting all around, a roll cage, BBS Monobloc Rally wheels, an 80-liter, protected ATL fuel tank, and quick locking mechanisms on the hood cover and the trunk lid.
Inside, the car sports much exposed metal, but has an Alcantara-trimmed ceiling, nonetheless. The rally equipment is not just for show, either: the car is fully equipped for participation in historic rally events.
The original SLC Coupe used to be produced in 1971 through 1981, while the SLC 450 5.0 debuted in 1977 as part of the rally car homologation project Mercedes-Benz had running for the 1978 WRC. This is the specific model the Belgian tuner recreated.
Powering the one-off is a 5.0-liter V8 mill rated at 370 hp (276 kW), hooked onto a three-speed automatic gearbox and limited-slip differential. The suspension system has dedicated presets for asphalt and gravel.
GDM Motors expects to earn €120,000 for the vehicle.
