A little more than a year ago, Mercedes-AMG launched a new exclusive vehicle program called Mythos. Its first entry was a Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4Matic+ limited to 250 production units. Apparently, the second entry is this V8-powered CLE Coupe.
Based on the first photos of the pre-production car, it boasts fairly short overhangs, widened fenders, a different front bumper with a large air intake, and a gently sloping hood. An impressively sized rear wing sits where the stock CLE Coupe has a modest spoiler, and the quad exhaust finishers are diamond-shaped instead of round.
According to Autocar.co.uk, the Mythos edition of the CLE is coming to the market equipped with the company’s trusty 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 tuned to roughly 660 PS (651 hp / 485 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. There are unofficial numbers; we still don’t know when the car may debut.
As for the currently available CLE 53 model, it starts from €85,000 in Germany (a touch over $100,000). It’s a safe bet that the Mythos Edition will pack a hefty premium.
